Boy band One Direction will star in a 3D concert movie, Box Office Mojo reported Friday.

The movie will be released Nov. 8, 2013 by Sony, according to Mojo.

There was no immediate confirmation from Sony Pictures, and the movie announcement is not among the company’s recent news releases.

The band will be on a world tour in 2013, tentatively beginning June 13 at Fort Lauderdale and ending Aug. 8 in Los Angeles.

The singers got their start in 2010 as contestants on “The X Factor.” They finished third in the group category.

Their first album, “Up All Night,” was released in November 2011. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

The album produced four singles, “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Gotta Be You,” “One Thing,” and “More Than This.”

One Direction mania will keep its grip on America’s teens and tweens well into the summer. The U.K. pop vocal sensations announced on Wednesday they’ll headline their first-ever North American Tour, starting May 24 in Fairfax, Va. and sweeping through arenas and large theaters in cities ranging from New York, Toronto and Los Angeles and many points in between.

The quintet made history this week on the Billboard 200 as the first U.K. group to bow at No. 1 with their debut album on Columbia’s “Up All Night.” The album’s lead single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 a month ago.

In the past two weeks, the five-piece have charmed American audiences on multiple television appearances — 10,000 screaming fans showed for NBC’s “Today on March 12 — and they are slated to make a splash on “Saturday Night Live” on April 7.

Formed on the 2010 edition of the U.K. version of “X Factor,” One Direction comprises Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. All of the group members hail from the U.K., save for Horan, who is from Ireland. The act has nabbed three top three U.K. singles and its debut album hit No. 2 in November 2011.

They aren’t exactly novices to the U.S. touring circuit, having just wrapped a 10-date trip opening for Big Time Rush.

So far, 21 dates on the tour have been announced with more planned. Tickets go on sale March 24.

The lads may be having a ball as they take the US by storm, but Harry has revealed they are missing their home comforts.

Video will appear here shortly.One Direction are living the high life at the moment as they continue to take the US by storm, taking first and second place in the iTunes album chart with Up All Night, and causing chaos wherever they go as crowds of screaming girls go wild for the heartthrobs – 1DMania.

Although Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson are clearly relishing the incredible reaction Stateside, Harry has admitted they are missing the home comforts of Britain, especially Sunday dinner.

Through the One Direction Twitter account, the 18-year-old wrote: “Hi guys!! We all want a Roast!!! Can’t wait to see you all at home.. -Harry .x” Awww, see UK girlies, they do still love us after all!

Keen to keep his US fans onside, he later added: “Thanks for your support on ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ head over to iTunes to buy it if you haven’t got it…it not too bad! -Harry .x”

Harry is determined not to alienate himself from the rest of the group and doesn’t want to be singled out as the leader – with recent reports suggesting that was the case.

One source, said to be close to the curly-haired teen, told Star magazine: “Harry is quite insulted by these reports. He says he is in no way big-headed that that his ego is not getting out of control.

“He is still very much one of the five boys, and considers them to be a team above all.”

They certainly are a team and life for the young stars could be about to get even better as they are tipped to become the first UK band to enter the US album chart at number one, with Up All Night estimated to sell between 160,000 and 180,000 copies in its first week, according to Music Week.
