In 2010, Styles auditioned as a solo artist for the British music competition series The X Factor, where he and four other contestants joined to form One Direction. Styles made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's war film Dunkirk (2017). Style's second album, Fine Line (2019), debuted atop the US Billboard 200 with the biggest sales debut from an English male artist in the US, and was listed among Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2020. Its fourth single, "Watermelon Sugar", topped the US Billboard Hot 100. |
